Lancôme Color Design Matte Lipstick in Posh Pink Stylista is a very chic, non-traditional pink color that will make you look vibrant and professional. Stylista is a creamy, blue-based light nude peach – pink. Stylista is soft coral pale shade but is pigmented enough to hide the colour of my lips. This type of bright pink feels somewhat sophisticated and adds just enough drama, without veering into the tacky territory. Posh Pink is a smooth, softened down bright fuchsia-ish pink. Posh Pink is a rich, hot pink with a slight coral undertone (very slight). It has a just detectable pale gold microshimmer in it that is visible in direct sunlight- in natural light it just gives Corset a beautiful glowiness. Corset is a richly pigmented, creamy coral-pink.

The color clings to lips well so wear-time is improved (I found myself getting around four hours with these) and fades in a way that doesn’t leave a ring of color on the outskirts of your lips. They’re creamy without being all over the place. Though there is some slip, I wouldn’t describe these as slippery.

Lancome attributes this to “soft waxes and emollients” for “modern glide and slip” as well as a “light-diffusing gel” as a mattifying agent (as opposed to a dull powder). These are lightly moisturizing and have a bit of slip, which is so out-of-the-realm of matte lipsticks in my world. Every single shade in the matte lipstick line-up is consistent in its finish, feel, texture, and pigmentation. There’s no pulling or draggint to get even, opaque coverage. These matte lipsticks are soft, creamy, and glide on smoothly. Lancôme Color Design Matte Lipstick in Corset My mouth formed an “O” as soon as I applied Stylista. (That’s where the pleasantly surprised bit comes in!) Like it was love at first swipe. However, regardless of how they look, they feel nothing like matte lipsticks. In natural light, they look like a more traditional matte lipstick, but in the sunlight, they have a subtle sheen. I would describe the finish of these new lipsticks as more of a semi-matte or demi-matte. Lancome has reinvented the feel and touch and play of a matte lipstick and modernized it in a way that works. Pleasantly, fabulously surprised! Matte lipsticks have a reputation for being chalky, drying, and difficult to work with.

There’s only one word to sum up how I felt about Lancome’s new matte lipsticks: SURPRISED BEYOND BELIEF. But matte formulas are often drying, and moisturizing formulas tend to slide off your mouth. I, for one, prefer rich color, slightly matte, with no sparkles, shimmer or frost. After that, you can take all of the flat lays with it.Everyone’s in the mood for a “statement lip” these days, and there are zillions of offerings. Then, you brush it on your face as you would with any other standard, flat powder highlighter. To use the rose-shaped highlighter, all you have to do is swirl your brush atop the petals in a circular motion, which coats the bristles in just the right amount of the finely milled powder. I swear it has their shared artistry written all over it. I'm slightly convinced Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli came back to life to design the Lancôme La Rose a Poudrer. Instead, the rose stays completely intact, in all its ruffled glory, no matter how many times you dip your blush brush into it. (It's smaller than an actual hat box, unless the hat was for, like, a very chic mouse.) But unlike the undulating wave pattern on Milani's pretty palettes that we told you about earlier today, the shape of the rose doesn't fade away with use. A super soft and delicate faux rose with illuminating powder-infused petals sits inside a '50s-style hat box. If you haven't see it yet, let me break down its beauty. This month, Lancôme's gorgeous rose-shaped highlighter is launching, and it's already blowing up Instagram. (I'm Devon Rose Abelman, for the rosy record.) This is included but not limited to rose gold makeup brushes and dusty rose-hued lipstick. As one of almost a dozen women in my family with Rose in their names, I'm basically genetically predisposed to love all things rose. When I first laid eyes on the new Lancôme La Rose a Poudrer, I was instantly obsessed.
